In 1985 Janusz built a race car, a Vauxhall Firenza, and along with his daughter Joanna started racing at Westwood Motorsport Park in Coquitlam BC.
The final event at Westwood, before the track was demolished to make way for real-estate development, was an 8-hour endurance race on October 8th, 1990.
